I'm passionate about using my time to support organizations that create meaningful change throughout the Philadelphia community. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to service, compassion, and community engagement.
I volunteered with Philabundance, the region's largest hunger relief organization, whose mission is to "drive hunger from our communities today and end hunger for good." Founded in 1984, Philabundance serves more than 300 community partners across Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey by rescuing nutritious food, reducing food waste, and providing meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity. During my time volunteering, I helped sort and prepare donated food for distribution, contributing to an organization that believes every neighbor deserves access to healthy, nutritious food.
I volunteered at Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit dedicated to providing children from birth through age 12 with the everyday essentials they need to thrive at home, at school, and at play. Through its Giving Factory model, the organization collects, sorts, and distributes clothing, books, school supplies, and other necessities to children experiencing homelessness or living in low-income situations. I helped process donated items that would be matched to children in need, supporting the organization's vision that every child should feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued.
I volunteered with Broad Street Love, a Philadelphia nonprofit committed to serving individuals experiencing deep poverty through its philosophy of Radical Hospitality. The organization provides daily meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, mail services, housing and employment assistance, and personalized support in a welcoming environment where every guest is treated with dignity and respect. Through volunteering, I contributed to an organization whose mission is to create connection and community, restore hope and dignity, and increase security and self-sufficiency for Philadelphia's most vulnerable neighbors.
